Today was all about gender equality in Germany and the world. We started the day off by participating in the Berlin Women's March, organized by our friends over at Democrats Abroad Berlin. Several thousand Berliners and their friends showed up to protest against sexism and misogyny and for a world of equality and justice. The day also marked the 100th anniversary of women being allowed to vote in a German parliamentary election.
Afterwards, we were invited to speak on "Feminism and Men" at Berlin's Sprechbar in Charlottenburg. We talked about our work as HeForShe catalysts and why it is important to understand feminism as a movement that includes men as well. We were happy to engage with an active and thoughtful audience and hear about new perspectives and ideas. Thank you for a good day!
